The college is an award winning, government funded institute of technology and polytechnic with three campuses in the North Island. UCOL’s style is down-to-earth, and its aims to get the job done.The work  towards assisting you build your  skills and confidence in getting you out there and succeed in your chosen area. UCOL Polytechnic has three large and well equipped campuses in the central and lower North Island of New Zealand.  The Palmerston North campus is the heart of City. Whanganui is equipped with state of the art facilities and is alongside Moutoa Gardens. Wairarapa is based in the town of Masterton, closest to shopping precinct. Their  cutting-edge web network means students can tap into expertise available at different campuses through streamed lectures, video conferencing and shared resources where programmes allow.

•    Humanities and Business: includes Business and Computing, Photography, Arts and Design, Hospitality.
•    Health Science: include allied health and Health Science studies
•    Trades and Technology - Automotive engineering, architectural technology, construction, electrical & mechanical engineering.

While you study at UCOL you take advantage of the support available, they have a network of experienced coaches and counseling staff to support and help you, working in partnership with lecturers.Students would have already contributed to the costs of these services through a Student Services Levy.

 
UCOL’s International Student with a student visa have the opportunity to work a certain amount of hours per week while studying (usually a maximum of 20 hours) and full-time during holiday periods. This is determined by the duration of the course and other factors. Employment assistance will be provided according to eligibility and government immigration rules.
