Established in 1970 Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the premier education and training institutions in New Zealand. MIT is a leader in technical and vocational education delivering a range of academic qualifications from certificate to degree level. Each year 20,000 students including 1000 international students studying in MIT.
MIT has campuses across Auckland, many of campuses and study facilities are located right in the heart of industry for the skills, networks and contacts students need.

Manukau Institute of Technology's seven faculties and 13 schools offer 168 programs in 36 study areas. Whatever you want to study, our courses deliver the practical skills employers want. Few of them are :

As a full-time student, one can work up to 20 hours per week. Those students who are eligible to work while studying may get causal jobs in areas like hospitality or other service industries. The hourly wage is likely to be between NZD$13-15. One can also work full time during summer vacation, November to February.
