EIT is a Government Tertiary Education Institution. It’s  motto is  educate, innovate, transform. The Institute offers about 130 programs in postgraduate, degree, diploma and certificate level across extensive range of subject programs. All degree, diploma and certificate qualifications awarded are approved and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and  are listed on the NZQA Framework (NZQF) which would be an advantage at the time of employment. It was ranked as one of the New Zealand's top rated New Zealand ITPs for research in the Performance-Based Research Fund.It offers an excellent blend of  lifestyle with comprehensive study options. EIT campuses are located in:
Taradale, Napier - Hawkes Bay is for students who have an inclination to outdoor adventures or avid socializers and would like restaurants, cafes and wine trails
Gisborne - Tairāwhiti is for nature lovers and who would be nearer to a landscape of sandy beaches and golden vineyards.
Auckland - the newest campus, from Waitakare ranges to Mission bay,from Viaduct to Pokeno there is a lot to explore.


EIT has extensive subject range and qualifies student as Master, Bachelors, diploma and certificate according to needs and wants. The disciplines offered are Arts and Design, Business, Computing, Hospitality, Health, Nursing, and Travel and Tourism.Its staff members are committed to providing students with a high level support.Small class sizes allow for EIT's highly experienced and qualified staff to provide individualized attention,in order to guide students to achieve academic success.

The University offers a wide range of local scholarship to students but there are no scholarships currently available for international students. Details of local scholarship are EIT Youth Scholarship, Disability Scholarship, Rural studies scholarship, Nursing and sport science scholarship. The university does not have any application fees for the students.In 2014,more than 10,000 students studied at EIT, including 440 international students from 40 different countries.


If a student who  completed qualification in EIT  New Zealand, but  do not have a job offer, you are still  eligible for a Graduate Job Search Work Visa for a maximum of 12 months. EIT will be there to help you to find employment during the time of studies, so it should not be a major problem.  Then, after finding a job, you can apply for a further visa for up to two or three years under the Study to Work category.
